The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are internationally agreed upon standards established to help content authors and developers create web content – whether a website, web application, or other digital technology – with accessibility in mind. There are four main guiding principles of accessibility upon which the WCAG have been built.

IA Labs announces launch of voice-based service for NCBI

Today marks the official launch of myNCBI Smart Hub, a voice interaction model available on all Alexa-enabled and Google Home devices that gives users of all demographics easy access to information on NCBI’s services and special features just by saying, “Alexa / Google, open myNCBI”.

This report was commissioned by the country’s national sight loss charity, NCBI, and entails how accessible Ireland’s digital world is based on manual accessibility audits performed by the staff of IA Labs. Research and write-up of the index was carried out from February to October 2023.
